A resource linking Ourselves with Reading, Writing and Speaking and Listening. Here are 5 characters that children may identify with. There is Belle who loves bunnies, Tess who adores teddies, Mike who has a bike, Charles who has a skateboard and Robin who likes ball games. There are 2 worksheets for each character. Sheet 1 shows a picture and a short rhyme or story introducing them. Share these with the children and talk about what sort of things they like to do. Sheet 2 shows the character and space for writing. Children can write the characters names and write what they remember about them. As a follow up children can then draw themselves and write about what they like to do.
